MPI-IS Robotics Materials Department
I worked at the Robotics Materials Department as an intern from Sep 2021 to Feb 2022. My job was mainly focused on the design and fabrication of HASEL actuators, which stands for Hydraulically-Amplified Self-healing ELectrostatic actuators. I was amazed by their simplicity in construction and the ability to self-sense, which gave it good potential to be used in robots (maybe even humans!) in the future.
FESTO R&D Intern
I worked at FESTO HQ in Esslingen, Germany as an R&D Intern from Apr 2022 to Jul 2022.
I primarily worked on research and development for some novel product ideas and was also involved in the fabrication process development for a new product.
I worked mainly with Advanced Mechatronics Development, Corporate Research, and the more well-known Bionics Department.
Xeno Dynamics R&D Intern
From Dec, 2018 to Feb, 2019 I worked as a hardware R&D Intern at Xeno Dynamics, Inc in SHENZHEN to develop water cooling systems for the motors to be used in the company's exoskeleton products.
The cooling system was able to maintain a stable thermal condition while the motors were running at 200% rated power.
