Course Projects
Balance Cube Structural Design
As the course project for Embedded System Design, me and my teammate tried to build a cube shaped robot to simulate an assistive device for elderly and those with balance issues. As a scaled down proof of concept, the robot will sense when the user is loosing balance and provide assistive torque using gyroscopic effects to right the user.
the project was discontinued due to special course arrangements, but the mechanical structure was finished.
Pedal Cart Structural Design
This design is made for the course "Design and Manufacturing I". it is a design proposal for a pedal cart to participate in local competitions.
I was in charge of designing the transmission and pedal system using SolidWorks.
Autonomous Robot Simulation
This is the programming project in the course "Machine learning and Information Processing for Robotics Perception" Me and my teammate are required to program a autonomous robot in V-Rep simulated environment to perform SLAM, Facial Recognition and Computer Vision based tracking tasks.
I was in charge of the Automatic Exploration Task, the Computer Vision based tracking Task and part of the keyboard control setup.
8 Bit Adder CMOS Design
As part of the course project on VLSI Design, me and my team mates designed an 8-bit Adder using cadence. I was in charge of the Silicon Layout Design.
I was able to design a compact layout occupying the smallest area in the class.
Glider Performance Analysis
As part of the course project on Aircraft Stability and Control. I did experiments to gather trajectory data of a hand made glider.
I further developed a simple Matlab Program to simulate the glider's trajectory with different initial launching conditions.
